Nicholas John Rosandick

Nicholas "Nick" Rosandick, 71, of Hudson, died peacfully at his home on Dec. 2, from esophageal cancer.

Nick was born to Croatian immigrants, Steve and Catherine Rosandick on Dec. 14, 1931. The youngest of thirteen children, Nick was raised on the family farm near Granton.

Nick attended the University of Wisconsin at River Falls and graduated with a degree in Agricultural Education in 1957. His education was interrupted by military service in Korea where he served in an engineering platoon removing land mines. He attained the rank of Sergeant First Class.

Nick began his career as an educator, teaching in both the Crivitz and Stratford public schools. Later, he entered into the agribusiness field and spent many years in sales and marketing with various companies, including Continental Grain Wayne Feeds. Nick's business career resulted in relocations to Barrington, Ill., Mason City, Iowa, and River Falls.

in 1958, Nick married Eileen Slattery in Rudolph. The marriage produced four children; Susie (Jeff) Munns of Raymond, Nebraska; Gary Rosandick of Wichita, Kansas; Julie (Dale) Bissen of Woodbury, Minn.; and Sandy (Tom) Lynum of Stillwater, Minn. In addition to his wife and children, ten terrific grandchildren and many friends and relatives survive Nick.

Visitation and Funeral Mass for Nick was held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hudson on Dec. 5.
