Ruth Schoenherr

Ruth Schoenherr, 90, long time resident at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2003. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 17, at the Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville. The Rev. James Gordon officiated. Music was provided by Jodi Rueth, soloist. Burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Ruth Esther Elsie Schoenherr was born on Dec. 6, 1912, in the Town of Weston, Clark County, to Erich G. and Pauline (nee Steinberg) Schoenherr. She graduated from the Globe School, and then helped in the family home. She also did housework in area homes and for relatives in Milwaukee and Michigan. She resided with her parents for a number of years and then made her home in the nursing home unit of the Health Care Center in Owen. She loved to sing, take long walks, and do sewing crafts. She also took part in many activities at the Health Care Center, enjoying the musical and singing programs and church services the most.

Survivors include one son, Gene (Christine) Schoenherr, Marshfield; two step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lydia Blaney, Neillsville, Berdina Padrutt, Cross Plaines, Pauline Payne, Neillsville, and Ottillie Danielson, Neillsville; and nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one sister; and three brothers.

The Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, assisted the family with arrangements
