Megan Ehlen

Megan J. Ehlen, 13, Greenwood, died on Tuesday, July 1, 2003, from injuries sustained in an ATV accident. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 5, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood. The Rev. Joseph Follmer officiated. Pallbearers were David Post, John Binder, Kim Metzke, Jerry Hamm, David Woyak, David Schaller, and Daryl Guenther.

Megan Jane Ehlen was born on May 16, 1990 in Burlington, to Steven and Beth (nee Deaton) Ehlen. In 1992, her parents moved the family to Greenwood, where they purchased a farm in the Town of Warner. She attended Greenwood Public Schools, where she competed in basketball, fastpitch softball, and cross country, and had recently completed the seventh grade. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Her interests included her dogs, cats, kittens, shopping, and writing poetry.

Survivors include her parents, Steve and Beth Ehlen, Greenwood; one sister, Kayla, and two brothers, Jordan and Brady, all at home; her grandparents, Dennis (Phyllis) Deaton, Northbrook, Ill.; Nancy (Jerry) Martin, Camp Douglas, and Agnes Ehlen, Lake Geneva; her great-grandmother, Ethel Deaton, Dousman; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, assisted the family with arrangements.
