Gaier, Frank (16 NOV 1863 - 26 Jan 1929)

Frank Gaier passed away at the home of his son Charles Gaier, in the town of Hull, Clark County, Wis., Saturday, Jan . 26, 1929, after an illness of one year, cancer being the cause of his departure. Impressive funeral services were held at the St. Mary's Catholic Church Wednesday morning, Jan. 30, Rev. Lachnit officiating, and interment made in the Colby Catholic Cemetery.

The deceased was born in Austria on Nov. 16, 1863, thus reaching the age of sixty-six years, two months and nine days. He came to the U. S. in 1903 and lived at Oshkosh, Wis. until about five months ago, when he came to this locality. For many years he was a soldier in the Austrian army and was married to Anna Breit in Austria thirty-eight years ago. Four children were born to this union, namely, Charles P. Gaier, Colby, Wis..; Mrs. Frank Petrack, Marshfield, Wis.; Mrs. Herbert Gollner, Chicago; Frank Gaier, Jr., Milwaukee, Wis.

The deceased will be remembered by the people of his neighborhood as a fine, amicable gentleman, and was highly respected by all who knew him.
