ANDREW MOHR was born in Switzerland, March 18, 1864. In his childhood, he came to this country with his parents and settled in the city of Racine, WI. There he remained until a young man. On May 14, 1891, he was married to Wilhelmina Thelke of Rhinelander, WI. There the young couple made their home. Mr. Mohr was employed in a lumber mill and served five years on the police force.

In 1903, they came to Clark County and settled on a farm in the southwest part of Pine Valley, which remained their home until the spring of 1925, when they bought a small home on North Emery Street in Neillsville. Here they remained until his death. He was always a believer in the Christian life and a good and helpful husband and father.

He passed away last Wednesday evening, April 20, at about 8 o’clock at the age of 68 years, one month and two days. There were five children born to Mr. and Mrs. Mohr, all are living except one daughter, Johanna, who passed away in 1907 as a young girl. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, two sons, Christian and Fred, and two daughters, Bertha (Clarence) Stiemke, all of Pine Valley, and Marie at home. He also leaves eight grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.

The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at St. John’s Lutheran church, with Rev. William Baumann officiating.
