Smudde, Agnes (Marriage - 23 Augl 1926)

A very pretty wedding ceremony was performed at the St. Nicholas Church, Kaukauna, Monday morning at nine o'clock, when Miss Agnes Smudde became the wife of Mr. Harry Kesler of Colby, Wis. The alters of the church were beautifully decorated with white roses, sweet peas and gladiolas.

The bride wore a chic Parisian costume of French Chiffon with rosettes of satin and Venetian lace on the shoulders and the flared bouffant skirt. The veil draped charmingly in a cape and the long train finished off with a cap and a wreath of rhinestones. She carried a shower bouquet of blush pink roses and white sweet peas. She was attended by her sisters, Catherine, who wore a rambler rose georgette with daintily embroidered semi-conventional design on the flared skirt and a large hat of black moire faced with rose chiffon. Her bouquet of deep pink roses and white and pink sweet peas added charm to her attire. The groom was attended by his brother, Oliver Kesler.

After the ceremony, a lovely reception was given at the Smudde residence for the immediate relatives and several friends of the bride.

The newlywed are now on their way to the Wis. Dells. From there they will motor to other places of scenic interest in Wisconsin and perhaps neighboring states.

Both the bride and groom have many friends in Colby and vicinity who extend congratulations.
