Voight, Emil (1893? - 21 Mar 1926)

Emil Voight, a former resident of Colby, Wis., died of pneumonia, at Antigo, Wis., Sunday evening, at the age of thirty-two years. Funeral services will be held at Curtiss, Clark County this Thursday afternoon at the Lutheran Church, Rev. Goetsch officiating, and interment made in the Curtiss Cemetery. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife and two small children; his mother, Mrs. J. Patitz, Dorchester; three brothers and three sisters, Theo Patitz, Butternut, Herman Patitz, Peeksville; Anna Jensen of Janesville, Edward Patitz, Duluth; Leona Patitz, Duluth, Mrs. H. A. Schultz, Duluth. Also five half-sisters.

The deceased was born in Athens and, when he was six weeks old, his father was killed in a well at that place, Later, his mother was married a second time. While in Colby, he was employed at the Fleischman Bakery.

The deceased had a kind and cheerful disposition, was a willing worker and had many friends who will remember him long after he passed on into the ocean of eternity.
