Humbird Jottings

O. G. T. of which he was a member, the following Thursday. Although without relatives in this part of the country, he had during his residence in our midst made friends of all with whom he came in contact, as the hall on the occasion of his funeral testified, it begin crowded to its utmost capacity with our villagers. The hall was trimmed the day previous with evergreens, in memory of the deceased. The Good Templars, and in the east end hung a motto in the shape of a semi-circle containing the words, "We mourn our loss,: under the center of which was printing,. I.O.G.T." All the business houses were closed from 10 until 12 o’clock on Thursday, out of respect for him and Mr. Carter shut down both of his mills and took all teams from the roads. The funeral sermon was preached by Elder Robinson, of Fairchild, and ll that was mortal of Andrew Bogan was deposited in the Houghton cemetery, midst tears from friends and companions.
