Carver, Mark (7 AUG 1867 - 9 Feb 1917)

Mark Carver died on Feb. 9, 1917, at the home of his sister in Loyal, Clark County, Wis., after an illness of five weeks. He was the only son of Horace and Rhoda Carver, was born at Hartford, Wis. Aug. 7, 1867. The deceased lived four years near Allegan, Mich., and twenty-two years ago moved to a farm a few miles southwest of Loyal, where he lived until three years ago when he moved to this village. He leaves to mourn his loss, four sisters, Esther and Abbie, both of Loyal, Mrs. M. B. Howland of Milwaukee and Mrs. B. W. Barber of West Bend. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at the Methodist Church, rev. W. C. Clock officiating. The following acted as pallbearers: Walter Laabs, Hugh Milligan, Wm. Swartz, J. A. Lyons, F. Steuerwald and W. D. Lyons. The remains were taken to Hartford Monday for interment, and he was laid to rest beside his parents in the Hartford Cemetery.
