Hulce, Belle (Marriage - 19 DEC 1914)

A pretty wedding took place Saturday noon, Dec. 19, 1914, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Hulce of Wausau, when Lee Schofield of the town of Unity, Clark County, Wis., was united in marriage with Miss Belle Hulce. They were attended by Mr. Fred and Miss Frances Hulce, brother and sister of the bride. Rev. Mallory of Stevens Point performed the ceremony.

We are pleased to note that there could scarcely be found two young people more ideally suited to take up the joys and sorrows of life together than this couple. Miss Hulce is quite well known in this vicinity, having been a successful teacher in the public school of Clark and Marathon Counties, during the past three years. She has won many warm friends by her exceptionally bright but modest disposition and nothing more need be said of her than that she is a veritable lady in every way. The groom has resided in the town of Unity since childhood and among his whole circle of acquaintances there are none who are not glad to call him friend because of his hearty, honest and affectionate ways. He has rented his father's farm for the coming year, where they will reside.

The bride was attired in a beautiful gown of a shimmering gray silk, the groom wearing the conventional black.

After the ceremony an elaborate dinner was served to the guests, sixteen in number, only near relatives being present. Immediately following they took the train to Greenwood to spend the weekend with the groom's sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Einfeldt, going from there to their future home Sunday evening.

Their friends join in wishing them a long and happy wedded life.
