Christiansen, William (1 OCT 1847 - 5 Apr 1912)

Died, at his home in Spokeville, Clark County, Wis., at nine o'clock, William Christiansen, at the age of sixty-four years, of pneumonia.

The deceased was born in Lunden Holstein, Germany, on Oct. 1, 1847, and came to this country when a boy with his parents in 1857, and settled at New Holstein in this state and was married to Miss Gusta Meyers in Eldorado on Nov. 28, 1874. In the fall of 1882 he came to this county (Clark County, Wis.) and settled on a farm one and one-half miles northwest of Spokeville, which he sold about a month before he died and was living in the old Leonard place at Spokeville at the time of his death.

His cheerful, helpful life; his devotion to his wife and family and kindness to everybody will long linger as a fragrant memory in the home which his presence brightened and which death has now darkened.

He leaves a wife, two daughters, Mrs. Charles Davel and Mrs. Guy Cole of Loyal, and two sons, Edward Christiansen of Loyal and Albert Christiansen of Annacortes, Wash.

The funeral services were held today at the M. E. Church at one o'clock and the remains buried in the M. E. Cemetery.
