Hamman, Pearl D. (Marriage - 5 Jan 1910)

At the country home of Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Hamman in the town of Worden, Clark County, Wis., on Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 5, 1910, at four o'clock, occurred the marriage of their daughter, Pearl Delora, to Principal John Heath Mills. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Florence Hamman, and the groom by Mr. Bert E. Studebaker of Richland Co. Mrs. Nels Stalheim of the city presided at the piano and rendered the wedding march from Lohengrin as the couple approached the altar and later played the Flower song as Rev. Arthur Amy of the First Presbyterian Church of this city said the solemn words which made the contracting parties man and wife. The rare personal charms of the bride were enhanced by a gown of pale blue silk and she carried white carnations.

Much interest was attached to the event because of the social prominence of the bride, who is a graduate of the Stanley High School, class of 1907, and nearly, if not quite, holds the record for high attainment in scholarship among all graduates of the Stanley High school up to date. Only her classmates and a few intimate friends of the contracting parties were guests at the wedding and the elaborate dinner, which followed. The groom is Principal of Schools at Boaz, whither the happy pair will go to make their home. He is a graduate of the Oshkosh Norman and is a young man of much promise. (Stanley Republican)
