Leabel, Samuel (2 AUG 1870 - 23 NOV 1908)

Died, at his home in this village, Loyal, Clark County, Wis. on Monday morning shortly after nine o'clock, Samuel Leabel, after having suffered for several months with two diseases, consumption and dropsy.

The deceased was born in Jefferson, Wis., Aug. 2, 1870, and came to Loyal seventeen years ago, and for the past eleven years ahs been in business here and was always honest and upright in his business dealings. The writer hereof has known him since a little boy, as they were playmates together in their school days, and even in those happy days he possessed many manly qualities.

He was a faithful member of the Catholic Church in this village and also a member of the Catholic Foresters. He was not only faithful to his church but just as faithful in believing that it was his duty as a Christian to do the will of his Master at all times.

He was ever ready to lend a helping hand in time of need, both in acts of kindness and in words.

He leaves to mourn his loss a wife and three children, father and mother, one brother, Joseph Leabel of Gadsen, Alabama, and six sisters, Mrs. Louis Herg, Mrs. J. Weber and Miss Barbara Leabel, all of Milwaukee, Mrs. F. Doniyoln of Chicago and Mrs. John Graff of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Kittly Robinson of Missoula, Mont., who were all present at the last services with the exception of the latter, who could not arrive in time.

The funeral services were held yesterday morning at nine o'clock at the Catholic Church. The flowers were many and beautiful.
