Lake, Augusta (? - 27 Jul 1908)

Again has death entered one of the homes in our village (Spencer, Wis.) and taken Mrs. Augusta Lake on Saturday afternoon. She was taken suddenly ill and suffered intensely until Sunday when she sank into a stupor from which she did not awake. On Monday evening at eight o'clock it came, the messenger from unseen land, and Mrs. Lake was at rest. She has been a great sufferer from heart trouble for some time.

The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon and she will be laid in the silent city beside her husband who died two years ago. She leaves one son, Almond of Mellen, and one daughter, Mrs. Frank Hayward, who have the sympathy of all their numerous friends.
