Stange, Wilhelmine (18 Augl 1833 - 5 Jan 1907)

Mrs. Charles Stange died at the home of her son, Louis Stange, in the town of Beaver, Clark County, Wis. last Saturday, Jan. 5, 1907, at 10 o'clock in the evening, after an illness of but three days, at the age of seventy-three years.

She was born in Brandenburg, Germany on Aug. 18, 1833, and was married to Carl Stange when she was twenty-two years of age. They came to this country about forty years ago and settled at Iron Ridge, Dodge Co., and from there they came here and settled in the town of Beaver. Sincer her husband's demise on Nov. 6, 1877, she has resided with her sons and daughters who live in this vicinity. She was of a quiet and retiring disposition and always preferred her home to the outer world. Her death will be sincerely mourned by the many friends she has made during her thirty-four years of residence in this vicinity. She was possessed of a kind and sympathetic nature and never complained during her short illness. She led a truly Christian life and was endowed with the attributes that make the wold better for her having lived in it.

She was the mother of eleven children, three of whom have died, leaving four sons, Herman, Louis, Charles and Otto, all of this vicinity, four daughters, Mrs. Thomas Etta and Mrs. Henry Etta of Loyal, Mrs. Adolph Matthias of Curtiss and Mrs. Richard Schoenermann of Seattle, Wash., and two sisters, Mrs. Aug. Boucher and Mrs. W. Lidtke to mourn her loss. The funeral services were held at the Lutheran Church on Tuesday morning, Jan. 8th, at 11 o'clock and the remains taken to the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery and laid to rest in the family lot.

Thus passed away one who possessed an amiable character, brightness of mind and cheerful disposition, who made friends with all who she came in contact with.
