Jackson, William (1826? - 6 May 1914)
William Jackson, who was taken to the Veteran's Home several weeks ago for treatment, died at that institution on Wednesday of last week, a telegram to this effect having been received by B. J. Brown on Thursday morning last. Mr. Jackson was eighty-seven years of age, and a veteran of the Civil War. He was a resident here (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) for about four years and seemingly enjoyed good health up to a few months ago. He leaves a wife and son who were at his bedside when the end came.
