100 YEARS AGO...

Mr & Mrs. Antoni Racikowski had a son on the 11th.

Frank Schwenke left for Oklahoma last Sunday to look for somewhere to suit him better.

Logs are being loaded on cars and shipped at the Nye, Luck & Hudson mill. Henry Lindeman is handling the lever, Jas. Covert as engineer and F. M. Craig as filer.

The new cheese factory in Withee found their location. It will be on the farm of Jas. Boylan and a gentleman named Tisdale will operate the place.

75 YEARS AGO...

Mr & Mrs. Arnie Huls had a daughter on Jan. 11th.

Maurice Mead who worked at the Wolf Drug store left for Milwaukee to take up pharmacy at the university.

Bernice Budzinski, age 20, died Jan. 6th at her parents home.

John Western Warner, age 27, died Jan 4 of blood poisoning.

50 YEARS AGO...

Fired destroyed Ed Gajda’s garage on Jan. 3rd.

Mary Keinholz, age 81, died in Stanley on Saturday.

Rose Mary Patricia Byrnes and Gerald A. Herman were wed on Dec. 27th in Rhinelander.

Mr & Mrs. Walter Hendzel of Bellinger, had a baby girl on Jan. 6th.

Mary Ann Filipowicz, age 82, died Dec. 29th in Stanley.

Mr & Mrs. Stanley Liazuk had a daughter on Wednesday.

M& Leon Papierniak had a son Jan. 4th.

Patricia Miller and Gordon Heckel were wed Dec. 15th.

25 YEARS AGO...

Lucy Bartoszewski was the first recipient of the Antonia Blazonczyk Memorial Award. She is the former Lucy Lis of Lubin.

Joyce Smith and Alan Harshman were wed Nov. 19th, 1975 in Thorp.

Pamela Tousignant and Cary Smasal were wed Nov. 15th in Rosemount.

Mrs. Frank Tomkowiak, age 69, died Jan. 8th.

Mrs. Earl Duchene, age 74, died Friday.

Services held for Earl Herbert DeLong, age 77 of Withee.

Hazel Helwig, age 73, died Thursday at her home.

10 YEARS AGO...

April Lynne Hartzel and Jeffrey John Sauer were wed Dec. 8th, 1990 in Willard.

Wayne and Tammie Abramowicz had a son Jan 4th.

Rodney and Peggy Martens and a son Jan. 8th.

Orvilla A. (Beilfuss) Kessler, age 85, died in Madison on Jan. 10th.
