Bowen, Edward (1837 - 19 Dec 1912)

Edward Bowen, a prominent farmer in the town of Longwood, Clark County, Wis., died at his home in that town on Thursday last, aged seventy-five years. Mr. Bowen was born in New York State and moved to his present home in Clark County in 1900. He carried on farming on an extensive scale, purchasing the Sawyer and Austin farm of 480 acres. He leaves a wife and six children, John, George and Ed, all of the town of Longwood, and Mrs. Horswill of Longwood, Mrs. h. W. Selk of Lansford, N. D., Mrs. Hixon Mead of this village. He also leaves a brother, Erastus Bowen of Greenwood. The funeral took place from his residence on Sunday last, interment following at Columbus, Wis. on Monday.
