Courter, Nels A. (24 Apr 1849 - 30 JUN 1912)

Nels A. Courter was found dead at his farm residence in the town of Mead, Clark County, Wis. on Monday morning, having evidently died the day previous from heart disease. The body was brought to the home of his sister, Mrs. Mary Phillips in this village the same day and the funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon from the residence, Rev. J. B. Bachman officiating. Mr. Courter was born at Plymouth, Wis., on April 24, 1849 and settled here on a homestead in 1873. He was married some ten years ago, but his wife died about a year later, leaving one child, who, with his sister, Mrs. Mary Phillips, and brother, George Courter, survives him.
