Darge, William (8 JUN 1854 - 21 May 1908)

William Darge died at his home in the town of Worden, Clark County, Wis. on Thursday May 21, 1908, of paralysis of the stomach, after an illness of two days. Mr. Darge was born at Kekoskee, Dodge Co., Wis., on June 8, 1854. In 1877 he was united in marriage with Miss Anna Ende of Horicon, Wis., who, together with five children, Louis, Mrs. Alma Preuss, William Jr., Otto and Miss Linda, his aged mother, three brothers and one sister, survive him.

After his marriage in 1877 he moved to Blue Earth Co., Minn., where he lived on a farm for 23 years. In 1900 he came with his family to the town of Worden, south of Thorp, where he had since made his home.

The funeral took place on Sunday last from the Reseburg Lutheran Church, Rev. B. H. Schrein officiating, sixty-four teams loads with relatives and friends, following the remains to their last resting place in the Reseburg Cemetery.

Those relatives present at the funeral from a distance were Herman Darge, Ferd Darge, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Darge, Mrs. Charles Sohre, Mrs. Henry Preuss, all of Good Thunder, Minn., Charles Bartsch, Ed Bartsch, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Darge, Mayville, Wis., Mrs. Frank Holz, LeRoy, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Darge, Knowles, Wis.
