Mrs. Eliza Wilson died at her home in this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.), of paralysis, on Thursday, Oct. 24, 1907, aged 73 years and 3 months.

Mrs. Wilson, whose maiden name was Eliza Hathaway, was born in Black brook, Essex County, N.Y., on July 25, 1834. She was married at Peru, N.Y., April 24, 1852, to Andrew Jackson Leggett. Mr. Leggett died Sept. 17, 1868, three years after the close of the Civil War, in which he had been a soldier. Shortly afterward she moved to Hartford, Wis., where she was married again July 17, 1886, to James D. Wilson, of Neosho, who died Dec. 15, 1898. In 1900 she moved to this village, where three of her children reside. She was the mother of seven children, five of whom survive her: Mrs. Lillian E. Morris, Leighton A. Leggett, Jessep, Iowa, Elmer L. Leggett, Winnebago, Wis., Mrs. Eola B. Welch and George W. Leggett, Thorp. Also surviving are one brother, Wm. Hathaway of Weyauwega, and one sister, Mrs. Harriet Hickok of Colby, Wis., and thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral took place from the M. E. Church on Sunday last, Rev. J. B. Bachman officiating, interment taking place in the Thorp Village Cemetery.
