Miller, Bernadine M. (15 Nov 1923 - 27 Feb 2003)

Bernadine M. Miller, 79, Abbotsford, Wisconsin, died on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., on Sunday, March 2, at Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford. The Rev. Dr. Paul C. Hunsicker officiated. Burial was in Colby Memorial Cemetery, town of Colby.

Bernadine Marie Sturtz was born on Nov. 15, 1923, in the town of Warner, to Howard Sr. and Cassie (nee Grey) Sturtz. She graduated from Loyal High School in 1941. She married Norman E. Miller on April 27, 1946. They farmed in the town of Sherman near Loyal until 1952, when they moved to a farm in the town of Colby. She moved to Abbotsford following her husband’s death in 1979. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, and its Ladies Aid. Her interests included sewing.

Survivors include two sons, Leslie (Karen) Miller, Spencer, and Norman (Pam) Miller, Colby; five grandchildren, Stacy (Kevin) Ketter, Stephanie (Pat) Rau, Shana (Neal) Weber, Adam (Heather) Miller, and Brenda Miller; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Carol Hagen, Neillsville; and two brothers, Donald Sturtz, Richmond, Va., and Howard (Dorothy) Sturtz, Eau Claire.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; and one daughter, Marilyn, in 1966.

Maurina Funeral Service, Abbotsford, assisted the family with arrangements.
