Rowley, Donald J. (? - 1 Apr 1918)

Donald J. Rowley, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Rowley, of the town of Loyal, died suddenly Monday, April 1, 1918.

After a short illness with appendicitis it was thought best that he undergo an operation, this effort to save his life proved unavailing, however, and his soul took its flight to the God who give it, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire, Wis.

This young man had made rapid progress in his studies at Jt. Dist. School No. 5, where he won the esteem and friendship of all who knew him. He was also a member of the Free Methodist Sunday school, where his genial nature and smiling face will long be remembered. Besides his parents he leaves two brothers, George and Edward, and two sisters, Dorothy and Lucy, with many friends to mourn his early departure. The funeral services were held by the Pastor Rev. E.C. Case at Loyal M.E. Church last Friday. Interment was made at the Loyal Cemetery.
