Mary E. Kokaly, 92, Willard, died on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at the House of the Dove Hospice Home, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. The Rev. Joseph Follmar officiated. Burial was in Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeff Boh, Karen Brux, Beverly Boh, Richard Feitl, Marianne Feitl, Dan Boh Jr., William Kokaly and William Boh Jr.

Mary E. Kokaly was born on May 11, 1910, in Willard, to Frank and Antonia (nee Krizmanic) Kokaly. She was raised on the family farm and educated at North Willard School. After her education, she worked on the family farm until the late 1920s, when she moved to Chicago. Her jobs there included domestic work, a candy factory, a radio factory and at St. Luke’s Hospital. She moved back to Willard in 1943 to help with the farm and care for her father. She lived on the family farm until May 2002. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and its CCW, KSKJ Lodge #174, and the Slovenska Druzba Club. Her interests included cooking, baking, crocheting and gardening.

Survivors include two brothers, Rudie (Stella) Kokaly, Thorp, and Darwin Kokaly, Willard; three sisters, Ann (William Sr.) Boh, Marshfield, Matilda (Lowell) Brown, Eau Claire, and Carolyn Feitl, LaGrange Park, Ill.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; four brothers, Frank Kokaly Jr., Francis Kokaly, Anton Kokaly and Martin Kokaly; and one sister, Sylvia Boh.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, assisted the family with arrangements.
