Margie E. Olson, 83, Prairie du Chien, formerly of Loyal, died on Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, at Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 24, at Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal. The Rev. Daniel Zimmerman officiated. Burial was in the Greenwood City Cemetery. Grandchildren served as pallbearers.

Marjory Evelyn Manier was born on June 28, 1919, in Stanley, to Clifford and Bessie (nee Ulrey) Manier. She was raised in the Stanley area and graduated from Stanley High School. She married Roy E. Olson on Nov. 4, 1941, in Stanley. They traveled often after their marriage due to her husband’s service during World War II. After his discharge, they moved to Neillsville. They moved to Loyal in 1960 and resided there until her husband’s death on Feb. 26, 1993. She then moved to Prairie du Chien to be near her son and daughter-in-law. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include four children, Sandra Kay Olson, Plymouth, Minn., Herbert R. (Sue) Olson, Duluth, Minn., Roy E. (Alexis) Olson Jr., Menasha, and David A. (Pam) Olson, Prairie du Chien; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and seven siblings.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Roy Olson Sr.; one granddaughter, Debra Olson, in 1997; and four siblings.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, assisted the family with arrangements.
