Oehmichen, Ralph (20 OCT 1921 - 18 OCT 2002)

Ralph Oehmichen 80, Colby, Wis., died on Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, at the Colonial Center, Colby. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Community Funeral Home, Colby. The Rev. Kenneth A. Dix officiated. Burial was in Colby Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Weis, Tom Weis, Allen Fricke, Kurt Oehmichen, Craig Oehmichen and Randy Eilers.

Ralph Oehmichen was born Oct. 20, 1921, in Colby, to Edwin and Louelle (nee Hake) Oehmichen. He attended Colby area schools. He married Margaret Preder on June 12, 1943. He farmed all his life until retiring in 1995. His interests included fishing and deer hunting.

Survivors include one daughter, Shirley (Richard) Winnes, Green Bay; one sister, Doris Hahn, Howards Grove; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Margaret, on Nov. 8, 1969; and two brothers, James Oehmichen and Elmer Oehmichen.

Community Funeral Home, Colby, assisted the family with arrangements.
