The death of Mrs. Hannah J. Otis of whom we made a mention last week was born in Jefferson County, N.Y., Oct. 1824, and came to Wisconsin in 1853 with her father and his family. They settled in Calumet County, where she was married and lived until the year 1900, when she came to Clark County, Wis. with her brother, M. L. Jenkins, with whom she has lived until her death.

Mrs. Otis had been a widow for thirteen years and an invalid for nearly twelve, having been confined to her bed a greater part of that time. She was a member of the Baptist Church, having been converted when about twenty years of age, and has since remained faithful to her heavenly Master and died in the faith.

Deceased was eight five years of age and leaves as mourners, two brothers and one sister.

Rev. Sweet conducted the funeral service at the house last Friday afternoon. The remains were placed to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
