Wiesner, Sophia (20 JUN 1853 - 12 May 1916)

Mrs. George Wiesner passed away Friday, May 12, 1916. For some time past she has had heart trouble, and several weeks ago she and her husband returned from Montana, hoping that a change might prove helpful, but it brought no relief.

Mrs. Wiesner, whose maiden name was Sophia Seif, was born at Oshkosh, June 20, 1853. She was married to George Wiesner at Dale, Wis., July 5, 1875. Thirty-three years ago they moved to Neillsville, Clark County, where they made their home until going to Montana five years ago. During her residence here she made many friends, her kindness of heart and willingness to work and think for the welfare of those around her, brought to her the lasting love of all who knew her.

She leaves her husband and four children to mourn her death: Joseph F. Wiesner, of La Farge; Geo. F. Wiesner, Circle, Mont.; Mrs. E.J. McCarr, Washington, Pa. And Mrs. Clara Winkes, Lambert, Mont. She leaves also two sisters: Mrs. Herman Schwerke, Dale, Wis. and Mrs. Emil Poppe, Neillsville, and two brothers: John Seif, Antigo and Fred Seif of Neillsville.

The funeral was held Tuesday at the Congregational Church, rev. G.W. Longenecker officiating.

Those from away who attended the funeral were Mrs. John Seif, Antigo; Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Wiesner, LaFarge; Mrs. E.J. McCarr, Washington, Pa.; Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Prock, Rice Lake; Mrs. Sam Amidon, Hayward; Louis Seif, Mellen; Mr. and Mrs. Schuerke, Mrs. John Leppla, Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Seif, all of Dale, Wis.
