Klaja, KATHLEEN "Kay" (31 May 1924 - 9 Jan. 2004)

Kathleen "Kay" Klaja, 79, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 9, 2004.

She was born on May 31, 1924 in Neillsville, Wisconsin, and was preceded in death by her parents, James and Leona Battersby, and her brother, Charles.

Kay is survived by her daughter, Nanci and son-in-law David, of Sykesville, Md.; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Kathy of Colonial Heights, Va. And Jim and Lanetta of Goreville, Ill. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all of her extended family and many friends whose lives she touched.

A memorial Mass in celebration of Kay’s life will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2004 at 3 p.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel, Texas.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Kay’s name to Sunshine Haven, P.O. Box 4478, Brownsville, Texas 78523.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home, 945 Palm Blvd., Brownsville, Texas 78520 (956) 546-7111.
