Ethel Ann Garbisch of Eagle River died April 21, 1993 in Eagle River Health Care Center. She was 88.

Mrs. Garbisch was born Nov. 23, 1904 in Neillsville. She married Herbert Garbisch on June 6, 1928, at Zion Lutheran Church in Granton. Last June they celebrated their 64th anniversary.

The family moved to Eagle River in 1938 and operated Garbisch Gamble Store for 30 years. Mrs. Garbisch was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle River and was a member of the Evening Guild for many years.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Germaine Dunkin of Corbett, Ore., Margaret Dodge of Sacramento, Calif., and Marian Hampe of Milwaukee; one son, Herman of Rochelle, Ill.; one sister, Marie Endel of Neillsville, seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held April 27 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle River. Burial will be made in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Granton.
