Chili News August 8, 1911

A pretty wedding took place at the Evangelical Lutheran Church situated two miles south of here last Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. when Miss Lena Grobe was united in marriage to Mr. Will Bealer both residing in this locality. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Zieldorf of Nasonville. The bride was dressed in light blue silk and carried a bouquet of India ferns and white geraniums. They were attended by Messrs. Chas. Anding, Ray Canfield, and August Bealer a brother of the groom and the Misses Ida Franke, Bertha Bealer, and Bertha Grobe, the latter being sister of groom and bride. After the ceremony the bridal couple with about 130 guests proceeded to the home of the bride, where a sumptuous dinner was served. The bowls where the table was set was beautifully decorated with ferns, foliage, and flowers. The evening was spent in games and dancing. Music was furnished by Fred Dankemyer and Will Wagner. The bride was the 2nd daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Grobe of a pleasing nature and winsome ways. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Bealer and of good character and a genial disposition. They will go to housekeeping on the farm where the groom has a handsome residence just completed. Congratulations from their many friends are extended to the happy pair. Among those who were present from afar were Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Bealer and Miss Ella Lietske of Grand Rapids and Miss Bertha Bealer and Miss Helen Schroeder of Wausau.
