A very beautiful wedding was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Anderson Saturday. Miss Ina Markham, daughter of Ira Markham of Lindsey became the bride of Mr. V. Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Anderson. The wedding took place at the Methodist church at Lindsey, Rev. Wendell Bennett performing the ceremony. The bride wore an ankle length white satin dress with a bouquet of flowers. The groom wore a blue suit. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Schmidtke. Miss Joyce Schmidtke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schmidtke carried the veil. She wore an orchid silk dress with short socks and white slippers.

The relatives and friends who attended the wedding are: Alvin Anderson and family, Mr. and Mrs. G. Hammerstom and family, Mrs. Anna Malson and son Kenneth, Mrs. Louise Severson from Prentice, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Phillips, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Preica, Mr. and Mrs. Alva Hastings from La Crosse; Mr. and Mrs. Dick Tilton, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Taylor of Waupaca; Henry Knoll Jr. and Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Ira Markham, Mr. Lee Garbusch and Rev. Wendell Bennett of Lindsey.

A supper was held for the relatives and friends at 6:00 at the Gust Anderson home.

A free wedding dance was held for the friends at Lynn.

I just happened to be doing some research online, and found my grandparents names in this article. Their names were Alva and Elsie Hastings. They had a son named Richard, who is my dad. If anyone out there knows of these people, I would love to hear from you!
