Lange, Minnie (20 Dec. 1900 - 4 Sep 1991)

MINNIE LANGE

Minnie Lange, 90, 2309 Rice St., died early Wednesday morning at Divine Savior Nursing Home in Portage.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Boston Funeral Home. The Rev. Kenneth Knutson will officiate and burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends May call at Boston Funeral Home Sunday from 1 pm until time of service.

Mrs. Lange was born Dec. 20, 1900, in Valders, Norway, to the late Peter and Margaret Johnson. She came to the United States in 1905 with her family and settled in Auburndale. She attended schools there. After school, she worked for the Sacho Hotel in Marshfield until her marriage to Paul C. Lange on Sept. 18, 1923, in Mellen. He died April 3, 1972.

The couple settled in Stevens Point after their marriage. Mrs. Lange worked for a number of years at Normington’s Dry Cleaning. She was a member of Trinity Luther Church and it Ladies Aid Society and was active in making quilt tops for Lutheran World Relief.

Survivors include a daughter, Anita Noble, Portage; a son, Arnold (Jo Ann), Wausau; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Memorials May be made in her name to the Trinity Lutheran Church Sunday School Program.
