SCHLINSOG FUNERAL CONDUCTED JULY 3

Rev. Mr. Lauterbach officiates At Rites For Granton Woman

Granton -- Funeral rites were conducted Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Helen Suzanne Schlinsog, 89, of Granton, who died at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at the Neillsville Hospital, where she was taken last week. The cause of death was given as heart trouble, old age complications, and bronchial pneumonia.

The Rev. William Lauterbach had charge of the service at 1:30 o'clock at the Albert Schlinsog home, Granton, and officiated at the 2 o'clock service at Maple Works Lutheran Church. Interment took place in the church cemetery.

BORN IN GERMANY

Serving as pallbearers were Paul, Emil, and Wilbur Schlinsog, grandsons, and Pfc. Allen Montgomery, Clark Luchte, and Emery Albrecht. Carrying flowers were Ms. Lydia Montgomery and Miss Evelyn Schuette.

Mrs. Schlinsog, nee *Fisher, was born June 19, 1856, in Schlessen, Germany, and came to the States with her parents in Grant Township until her married Feb. 12, 1884, to Adolph Schlinsog who died July 1, 1932. She was bedridden for two months at the same home where her son and daughter-in-law, the Albert Schlinsogs, now reside.

SON, DAUGHTER SURVIVE

Mrs. Schlinsog, a lifelong member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church is survived by a son, Albert, Granton; and daughter, Mrs. Margaret Schlinsog, Granton; nine grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Martha) Lichte, four brothers, and a half-brother.

Those from out of town at the funeral were Mrs. Carl Miller, Dodge Center, Minn.; Mrs. Emma Sievert, Faribault, Minn.; Mrs. Carla Molkow, Owatonna, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. William Schlinsog, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Schlinsog and daughter, Marlene, and Mrs. Fred Gerber, Spencer; and Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Schuette and daughters, Arlene and Ethel, Unity.

*Other sources say her surname was Tischer/Tisher before marriage.
