Krutsch, Paul E. (12 Sep 1924 - 16 Dec 1996)

Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. - Paul E. Krutsch, 72, Neillsville, died Sept. 16, 1996, at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church,, Neillsville, for both Paul and his wife, Eileen Krutsch, who died June 4, 1992, in Springfield, Mo. The Rev. Joseph Henseler will officiate.

Cremainal burial of the couple will precede the memorial service at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Neillsville City Cemetery.

Paul was born Sept. 12, 1924, in the town of Washburn, Clark Co., to Henry and Lydia (Scholl) Krutsch. He attended Neillsville schools. He entered the U. S. Army on Nov. 12, 1942. He served in four campaigns during World War II, including Normandy, where he served under General Patton. He was honorably discharged from the Army on Nov. 10, 1945.

Eileen Krutsch was born Jan. 9, 1927, in the town of Levis, Clark County, to William P. and Jessie (Jolivette) Richmond.

Paul and Eileen were married on Oct. 5, 1946, in Neillsville. Eileen taught school and Paul farmed and trucked milk in the Granton and Marshfield area for a number of years. They lived in the Midwest until settling in Bruner, Mo After the death of his wife, Paul returned to Granton where he lived until becoming a resident at Memorial Home in Neillsville in late 1995.

The couple is survived by two daughters, Virginia (Jose) Roldan of Highland, Calif., and Sandra Krutsch of Chouteau, Okla.; a granddaughter, Denise Nicholson of Las Vegas; three step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.

Paul is further survived by three sisters, Lucy Hetzel of Granton, Edith Garbisch of Beloit and Gladys Huebscher of Denver, Colo. He was predeceased by his parents; wife; and two brothers, Dave and James.

Eileen is further survived by her brother, Harold "Bob" Richmond of Neillsville. She was predeceased by her parents; two half-sisters, Lulu Rennak and Grace Sprague; and half-brother, Roy Richmond.
