Peterson, Margaret J. (31 March 1911 - 14 Dec. 2004)

Margaret J. Peterson, 93, of 19321 55th Ave., Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at the Chippewa Manor Nursing Home in Chippewa Falls.

She was born March 31, 1911, in Little Black in Taylor County, to Bertha (Hingess) and Julius Paul. She grew up in Dorchester and graduated from Dorchester High School. She attended nursing school for two years in Marshfield.

Margaret married Arthur C. Peterson on July 3, 1934, in Waukegan, Ill. They resided in Cadott until moving to Chippewa Falls in 1944 and has resided in the town of Lafayette since 1958. She was employed as a cook for the Chippewa Falls Public Schools at the Southside School and then Stillson School for over 25 years.

She was a member of the Woman's Club of Lafayette and Mother's Club.

Survivors include: a daughter, Bonnie (Richard) Amans of Chippewa Falls; two sons, Arthur A. Peterson of Chippewa Falls and Tom (Mary) Peterson of Jim Falls; 11 grandchildren, Rick Amans, Randy Amans, Russ Amans, Missy (Scott) Boehm, Brandon (Kari) Amans, Tony (Kelly) Gray, Mike Peterson, Tanya (Jay) Skalecki, Heidi Peterson, Tom Peterson, Dustin Peterson; and 20 great-grandchildren, Kole, Bo, Cody, Margaret "Margo", Jasper, Riley, Joshua, Josh, Jacob, Tonie, Macharnie, Jay T, Alex, McKenzie, Logan, Sierra, Dustin Jr., Hunter, Mikie, and Jacob "Willie".

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband on Sept. 11, 1987; a brother, Clarence Paul; and a great-granddaughter, Ellie. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Fr. Robert Hoekstra, Chaplain of the Chippewa Manor Retirement Community officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Friends May call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and until the time of service Friday at the funeral chapel.
