Leiby, Margaret E. (6 Aug. 1923 - 31 Aug. 2004)

CURTISS -Margaret E. Leiby, 81, of Curtiss died Aug. 31, 2004, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Curtiss Alliance Church. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Curtiss.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from noon until service time Saturday, both at the church.

Maurina Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Margaret was born Aug. 6, 1923, in Tamaqua, Pa., to Arthur and Sally Heisler. Margaret and Howard Leiby were married Dec. 22, 1945, in Leheighton, Pa. Howard died Oct. 14, 2003. They owned and operated a poultry farm in Tamaqua and then moved to a dairy farm in the town of Mayville in 1973. They moved to the town of Hoard, rural Curtiss, in 1985.

Margaret is survived by her children, Lester (Sharon) Leiby, Dorchester, Ruth Ann (Loren) Kramer, Neillsville, Linda (Reverend Carl) Swarr, Curtiss, and Rose (Terry) German, Owen; 14 grandchildren; one sister, Irene (Oscar) Troxell, Tamaqua, Pa.; three brothers, John (Jeanette) Heisler, Leroy (Jane) Heisler and Mark (Brenda) Heisler, all of Tamaqua, Pa.
