Cole, Ernestina (6 MAR 1896 - 3 Sep 1977)

Loyal, Clark County, Wis. - Services for Mrs. Ernestina Cole, 81, Loyal, were at 1:30 today at Christ Lutheran Church in Chili, Clark Co., the Rev. Horst Augustine, pastor, officiating.

Mrs. Cole died at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. Burial was in the Yolo Cemetery in the Town of Fremont.

The former Ernestina Beilke was born March 6, 1896 in the Town of Fremont, where she received her education. She was married to Harry Cole Oct. 20, 1920 in Zion American Lutheran Church, Town of Grant.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Chili and its Ladies Aid, and also a member of the Fremont Homemakers Club.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Chester (Marian) Meissner, Cassville; and one son, Donald of Loyal, one sister, Mrs. Louise Prust of Spencer; 16 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by one son, one brother and two sisters.

Cole, Ernestina (6 March 1896 – 3 September 1977)

A native and longtime resident of the Town of Fremont, Mrs. Ernestina Cole, 81, of Loyal, died Saturday afternoon, September 3, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from Christ Lutheran Church, Chili, with the Rev. Horst Augustin officiating. Burial was made in the Yolo cemetery.

The former Ernestina Beilke was born March 6, 1896, in the Town of Fremont and received her education in schools there. Her marriage to Harry Cole took place October 20, 1920, at Zion American Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant. She lived on a farm in the Town of Fremont until after her husbands’ death on November 7, 1963, then lived at various places before moving to Loyal. Mrs. Cole was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Chili, and of its Ladies Aid Society, and was also a member of the Fremont Homemakers club.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Chester (Marian) Meissner of Cassville; one son, Donald Cole of Loyal; and by 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Louise Prust of Spencer.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Glenn, in 1960, and by one brother and two sisters.

Pallbearers were Harold Montag, Lyle Doehr, Harold Schlinsog, Fred Lewin, Henry Grottke and Steve Schlinsog.

Mrs. Harold Montag was the organist. Vocalists were Mrs. Henry Grottke and Mrs. Norman Faber.
