Wink, Irene E. (25 APR 1897 - 4 May 1928)

Mrs. Herbert Wink died at her home northeast of the village (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.), Friday, May 4th, 1928, after about a year’s illness with tuberculosis, and was buried from the Little White Church Monday, May 7th, Rev. P. F. Walter officiating and interment was made in the cemetery south of town. Wm. Tischendorf, Ben Juedes, Earl Krause, John Jantsch, Frank Schopper and John Mueller acted as pallbearers.

Irene Elizabeth Ameden was born April 25th, 1897, at Weyceina, Wis., and was 31 years and 9 days old at time of death. On May 31, 1924, she was united in marriage to Herbert Wink at Milwaukee. One son, Herbert, was born to them, who with the father, survive her. Besides her husband and little son, she leaves two children, Norma and Norbert, by a former marriage, her mother and two brothers, Theodore of Milwaukee and Howard at Red Wing, Minn.

The home is sad and empty for the dear mother voice is stilled and the hands that did so many things for her loved ones, never tired nor weary, are folded quietly at rest. But take comfort, dear one, for her a brighter day has dawned and pain and sorrow are over, and though we weep a little while, a joyous meeting awaits us on that beautiful "tomorrow."

Mr. Wink’s brother, Ted of Milwaukee, and Mr. Wink’s brother, Dr. Ruben Wink of Granton, were among those here for the funeral.
