Vandeberg, Audrey M. (29 March 1932- 16 Feb. 2005)

GRANTON -Audrey M. (Boyer) Vandeberg went to her eternal rest Feb. 16, 2005, at Mayo Hospital in Phoenix.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2005, at Zion Lutheran Church in Granton. Lunch will follow at the church.

Audrey was born March 29, 1932, in Neillsville to Arthur and Eva Diercks. She married Wallace D. Boyer on Oct. 12, 1950. He preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 1995. She married Verlyn Vandeberg on July 19, 1997. He survives her.

Audrey was a great lady, active in bowling, fishing, hunting, camping and quilting. She ranked 60th in the Boone and Crocket Big Game Awards 2002 for killing a black bear in Rusk County with a score of 21 7/16. That bear was killed with a 44-magnum handgun.

Audrey will be sadly missed by her husband, Verlyn and children, Deb (Denis) Iteltenpohl, Dave (Barb) Boyer, Milton (Kathy) Boyer, Dixon (Kathy) Boyer and Pam (Phil) Schlagenhaft; her grandchildren, Amy (Steltenpohl) Tim Handel, Jason (Fiancee, Lea) Steltenpohl, Gary (Karen) Boyer, Christopher Boyer, Nikki (Boyer) Don Lang, Corrie (Boyer) Jason Schmitt, Amber (Boyer) Ryan Verch, Adam and Jacob Boyer and Heather Schlagenhaft; and her brother, Victor Diercks. Her "little buddy," Chico, also will miss her greatly. Audrey has eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving Audrey are her three stepchildren, Randy (Helen) Vandeberg, Pacific City, Wash., Cheryl Anderson, Portland, Ore., and Alan Vandeberg, Medford, Ore.; four stepgrandchildren, Troy Vandeberg, Deanna and Lee Vandeberg and Nathan Anderson; and one stepgreat-grandchild, Trevor Vandeberg.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial May be sent in Audrey's name to Newberry Hospice, P.O. Box 1888, LaPine OR 97739 or to Faith Lutheran Church, LaPine OR 97739 and Christ Lutheran Church, Chili WI 54420.
