Nelson, Greta Rose (14 June 1931 - 27 March 2005)

CHIPPEWA FALLS -Greta Rose Nelson, 73, of Chippewa Falls died peacefully Sunday, March 27, 2005, at Dove Healthcare in Eau Claire.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2005, at Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ in Eau Claire with Pastor David Huber officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire.

Family and friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home in Eau Claire and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.

She was born June 14, 1931, in Curtiss, the daughter of Fielder and Rose (Kristek) Lueth. She grew up in Curtiss and graduated from Abbotsford High School. Greta married James T. Nelson on Jan. 17, 1953, in Eau Claire.

She was a member of Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ.

Survivors include her mother, Rose Lueth of Colby; husband, James; two sons, James A. (Peggy) of Chippewa Falls and William J. (Cindy) of Bloomer; daughter, Diana (Neil) Baker of Auburn, Ind.; five grandchildren, Staci Nelson, Ashley Hartman, Jonathan Baker, Dylan Nelson and Logan Nelson; a great-granddaughter, Alexis Ann Loew; four brothers, Elmer (Gladys) Lueth of Curtiss, Albert Lueth of Unity, Arnold (Lynn) Lueth of Sparta and Virgil (Beverly) Lueth of Spring Valley; two sisters, Rosella (Gene) Jensen of Neillsville and Deanna (Michael) Fanning of Woodruff; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Fielder Otto Lueth, and infant brother, Ernest.
