Lapp, Edith (5 APR 1903)

(bad micro-film - had to paraphrase some of marriage notice because portions were unreadable)

A pretty home wedding occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Lapp last Sunday afternoon, when their daughter, Edith, was united in marriage to John V. Sturner of this village (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.), by the Rev. John ?? of Curtiss. Anna Myers was maid of honor and Reinard ?? was best man. After the ceremony the party, numbering about seventy-five, repaired to the dining room where an elegant wedding dinner was served.

The bride was elegantly attired in turquoise blue Henrietta trimmed with chiffon and white lace medallions while the waist was of the same material with the Monto ?? effect of lace. She carried a bouquet of American Beauty roses. The bridesmaid was dressed in light blue silk mull.

The parlor was decorated in red, white and pink carnations, and the dining room was in green and white festooned with white carnations.

The bride lived here nearly all her life and has many friends with whom she is very popular. The groom is manager of G. Schultz store here and is well respected by all who know him.

The young couple will go to housekeeping in the village in the near future. The Reporter joins with their many friends in extending congratulations and well wishes for their future happiness.

Among guests from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Otto Glasow and ?? Cooper of Medford, Anna Sturner of Lowell, Clara Schultz, Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Schultz, Colby, Mrs. Lapp and son of ??, and Mrs. J. Lapp and son of Plymouth.
