Wohld, Opal G. (3 JUL 1915 - 20 Dec 1994)

Opal Goldene Wohld passed away on Dec, 20th, 19994 at Victory Medical Center in Stanley. She was 79 years old.

Opal was born on July 3, 1915 in Stanley to Chester and Olga (Thompson) Corwin. She attended Garfield and Stanley High School.

On June 15, 1932, Opal married Winston Wohld at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Stanley. They spent most of their life in the area, where they were engaged in cheese and butter making. They also lived in the Clintonville area where they owned the Dairy Queen Cheese Co. and for 15 years, resided in Racine and Kenosha.

They eventually returned to Clark County and the Town of Worden, where they farmed and retired. Opal was a member of the ALCW Pearl Circle and County Line Women’s Club.

She is survived by one son, William of Chippewa Falls; a half-brother, Kenneth Graves of Coeur d’Alene, ID; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Winston, in 1987; twin daughters in 1938; her son, Laverne in 1991; a half-brother, Joseph Corwin in 1969; and a granddaughter, Sheryl Lynn.
