NEILLSVILLE - Lillian Surma, 88, of Neillsville died Sunday, June 27, 2004, at Memorial Nursing Home in Neillsville.

Lillian Surma was born on July 17, 1915, in Chicago, the daughter of William and Minnie (Veara) Dallman. She was united in marriage to Walter F. Surma on March 25, 1939, in Chicago. She lived in Chicago until 1997, when she moved to Neillsville.

Lillian was a member of the United Church of Christ.

She is survived by two daughters, Ruth Ann Fox of Neillsville, and Judith (James) Fortier of Monks Corner, S.C. Lillian is further survived by seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Felski of Chicago, and Lois (Tom) Austin of San Diego, Calif.

Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; one sister, Lucille Sophie; and two brothers-in-law, Adolph Felski and Louis Sophie.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at Matz Funeral Home in Mount Prospect, Ill. Interment will be in the Eden Cemetery in Schiller Park, Ill. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Matz Funeral Home.

Gesche Funeral Home is assisting Lillian's family with local arrangements.
