Kanneberg, Dolores M. (20 March 1926 - 8 March 2005)

COLBY, WIS. - Dolores Kanneberg, 78, Colby, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Community Funeral Home of Colby is assisting the family with arrangements.

Dolores M. Kanneberg

COLBY, WIS. - Dolores M. Kanneberg, 78, Colby, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2005, at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. Burial will be in Loyal City Cemetery. The Rev. Mark Neumann will officiate.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the church.

Maurina/Community Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Dolores was born March 20, 1926, in Dorchester to Herman and Freida (Tessmer) Meyer. They lived in Dorchester and later moved to Marshfield, where she graduated from high school. Dolores and Kenneth Kanneberg were married on Dec. 19, 1945, and they moved to Loyal, where Kenneth was a mail carrier for 30 years. After he retired, they moved to Phillips for 13 years and then to Colby. Dolores worked full time and part time in area factories and was a waitress in many restaurants and night clubs.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Colby Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Loyal American Legion Auxiliary and Disabled Veterans of America Auxiliary.

Dolores is survived by her children, Ramona (Wayne) Samuelson of Chippewa Falls, Bill Kanneberg of Chippewa Falls, Bonnie Kanneberg (Edward "Bronson" Monhan) of Sun Prairie, Randy (Diane) Kanneberg of Marshfield and Keith (Lynn) Kanneberg of Colby; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mildred (Jack) Smiley of Geneva, Ind.; and one brother, Herman (Jennie) Meyer of Medford.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Freida; her husband, Kenneth; one sister, Audrey; and a grandson, Kurt.
