Burow, Frederick (15 Feb 1890 - 15 Sep 1970)

Colby, Wis. - Frederick Burow, 80, of route 1, Colby, Wisconsin, died of an apparent heart attack at his home at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. John's American Lutheran Church in the town of Wien. The Rev. Franklin Schroeder, pastor, will officiate and burial will be made in the parish cemetery. Visitations May be made at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby beginning at noon Thursday.

Mr. Burow was born Feb. 15, 1890, in Iron Ridge, Wis. He was married at Milwaukee April 12, 1915, to Martha Walter. The couple celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in April of this year.

The couple farmed near Edgar for a year before moving to their farm on route 1, Colby, where they have continued to live in retirement.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was a former member of the town of Frankfort School Board.

Survivors include his wife, a son, Herbert Burow, Marshfield; three daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Helen) Bogenscheider, Mayville; Mrs. Edward (Alice) Nagel, Edgar; and Mrs. Edward (Viola) Westphal, Athens; 14 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
