Foote, Oscar (30 NOV 1883 - 14 Feb 1962)

Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. - Services will be held at the Bergemann Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Saturday for Oscar Foote, 78, of 108 E. Ninth St., Neillsville, who died at Memorial Hospital Wednesday after a lingering illness. The Rev. Frank B. Harcey, pastor of United Church of Christ, will officiate and burial will be made in St. Mary's Cemetery.

The body will repose at the funeral home until time of services.

Mr. Foote was born in Neillsville Nov. 30, 1883 and received his early education in Neillsville schools, later attending college in Great Falls, Mont.

He was married at Galesville Sept. 12, 1907, to Marie Kutchera, who preceded him in death on Nov. 27, 1961. After their marriage, the couple farmed in Trempealeau County for a few years and then moved to Montana. In 1917 they moved to a farm near Neillsville. They retired from farming in 1948 to make their home in Neillsville.

Mr. Foote was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Modern Woodmen of America.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Earl (Mary) Mueller, Milwaukee; a son, Charles Foote, Neillsville; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Other who preceded him in death included a brother and five sisters.
