WILBURT A "SNUFFY" SCHULTZ

Wilburt A "Snuffy" Schultz, age 78, of Camanche, IA died, Thursday, June 13, 2002, at Mercy Medical Center, North Campus, Clinton, IA.

Wilburt Arthur Schultz was born Jan. 7, 1924 in Greenwood, the son of Otto and Vivian (Buettner) Schultz. He married Doris M Damgaard on June 14, 1952 in Globe, WI.

Wilburt was a 1943 graduate of the War Production Training of Aviation Mechanics and Machine Shop, in Wausau.

Wilburt was the owner and operator of Schultz Alignment Center, Clinton, IA, from 1962 until retiring in 2000. From 1952 to 1962, Wilburt was employed with various GM dealerships in Clinton.

Wilburt was a charter member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Camanche where he was active with the building committee, active with the church council, a Luther League sponsor, a charter member of the Bel Aire Investment Club, and the Eastern Iowa Snow-Riders.

Surviving is his wife, Doris of Camanche; one daughter, Cindy (Anthony) Bennett of Clinton; two sons, Mark Schultz of Camanche and Rodney (Laura) Schultz of Grinnell, IA; eight grandchildren, three brothers, Howard (Joyce) Schultz, Robert (Angeline) Schultz and Donald (Betty) Schultz all of Greenwood; one sister Ruth (Robert) Lechner of Kenosha and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Funeral services were held Sat. June 15, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Camanche, with Rev. Brad Miller officiating. Burial (this was missing from the end of the obituary).
