SUSAN ZICKERT

Surnames: Zickert, Fenske, Kurasz, Lund, Johannsen, Graham.

Susan K Zickert, age 55, of Morrison, IL died on Dec. 14, 2002, at Illinois Hospital, Silvis.

Susan was born on Jan. 24, 1947 in Neillsville to Joseph and Esther (Fenske) Kurasz.

She was educated in the Lutheran school in Neillsville, graduated from Neillsville High School and received an Associate Nursing degree at Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon.

Susan married Dennis M Zickert on Sept. 17, 1966 in Neillsville.

She was a nurse at the office of Dr. David A Fell, a cook at Morrison Day Care and a Registered Nurse at Morrison Community Hospital.

Susan was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Morrison; the church's Ladies Aid Society; Dorcas Society and served as president; youth group leader for 16 years; member and past president of Morrison Community Day Care; Morrison Community Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and chair of Auxiliary Scholarship Fund; Morrison Diet Club and treasurer.

Surviving Susan is her husband, Dennis; one daughter, Denise (Curtiss) Graham, Peoria; two sons, Joe (Kathy), of Morrison and David (Kathleen) of Palos Heights, IL; three grandchildren, Andrew, Sara and Parker Zickert; her mother, Esther Kurasz of Neillsville; two sisters, Margie (George) Lund, Spokane, WA and Helen (Calvin) Johannsen, Fergus Falls, MN; three brothers, Stanley (Terriann) of Morrison, Thomas of Milwaukee and Timothy (Lisa) of Black River Falls.

Preceding Susan in death is one son, Andrew and one brother, Ronald.

A Memorial service was held on Dec. 16, in Morrison at St. Peter's Lutheran Church with Rev. Mike Winkelman officiating. Memorials can be made to Continuing Mission Outreach of the Federwitz Family.
