Denzin, Theresa (30 Sep 1890 - 22 Apr 1926)

Mrs. Paul Denzin died at the St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield Thursday, April 22, 1926, and was buried Monday afternoon, services being held at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church at Milan with Rev. W. Pichler officiating, and burial was made in the Lutheran Cemetery north of town, Arthur Zahorka, Erwin Zahorka, Alex Sprotte, William Denzin, Reinhold Raasch, William Raasch, Max Haufschied and Henry Sprotte acted as pallbearers, while Margaret Lueck, Elizabeth Vircks, Dorothy Schade, Mildred Empey, Anna Zahorka, and Sadie Denzin were flower bearers.

Theresa Vircks was born Sept. 30, 1890, at Watertown, Wis., and was 35 years, 7 months and 22 days old at time of death. In the year of 1908 she was united in marriage to Paul Denzin and they moved on their farm in the town of Holton.

Eleven children were born to them, the oldest one dying in infancy.

The latter part of March an infection, starting in the thumb of her left hand, made it necessary for her to seek medical aid and she went to St. Joseph Hospital at Marshfield. Soon after arriving there she gave birth to a daughter who is being raised in an incubator. Later the doctors amputated an arm in an attempt to save her life, but this weakened her and in spite of blood transfusions and the battle she made for life and all that doctors did was of no avail. She suffered much, yet she never complained, at all times she trusted in the Lord. "Thy will be done" was her constant prayer. And according to the gracious will of God, He called her home, quietly leaving behind all pain and sorrow, answering joyously the summons at about 7:39 Thursday evening of last week.

Her gentle voice is heard no more in the sorrowing home, but the Christian precepts she taught her children will live on in their lives to bless them long after she May be forgotten, for a fine Christian life is a blessing to all who come in contact with it.

She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband and ten children, four sons, Albert, Edward, Harold, and Clarence, six daughters, Hilda, Leona, Esther, Ruth, Lucille, and Anna, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Vircks Sr. of Stetsonville, seven brothers, two sisters, a number of other relatives, and a large circle of friends.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral were Otto Vircks and family, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Daley, Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Max Vircks and family, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stahnke and Mr. and Mrs. Eric Beisner, Dorchester; Olga Vircks, Max Haufschild, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Vircks, Albert Vircks and family, Mr. Herman Vircks Sr., William Vircks, Edward Vircks, Mrs. Theresa Raasch, Reinhold Raasch and family, Paul Lueck and family, William Raasch, Mrs. Fred Carpenter, Mrs. Herman Lueck, Mrs. Adolph Ibreic, Mrs. H.
